California fun

We decided on saturday night to leave the next morning for a 10 hour drive to California. Ken's sister and family spent a month there having a blast and we missed them. It was a long day in the car and the kids did well until we hit traffic outside of Las Vegas and added 2 hours to our drive. We finally arrived at 11:00 and were relieved to get out of the car. The next day we spent at Newort beach.
Abby put handfuls of sand in her mouth and didn't seem to mind the taste. She was so fast sometimes I couldn't stop her. She loved the sand and crawling around getting sand in every crease and roll. Now when you move her tan chub rolls to the side, it's white. Got to love the chubs!
Riley on the other hand didn't get within 10 feet of the ocean without being forced. The loud sound of the waves I think was a little intimidating. I have to remember he's only 2 1/2. He had fun playing in the sand with Kenzie, Addie, Max and Gracie. Thanks!
Ken and Max had so much fun in the waves. After the Beach we went to Downtown Disney and ate at the Rainforest Cafe. Riley was so scared of the rain storms and the robotic gorillas that start moving. Riley would put Kens hands over his eyes. What a cute daddy. After we went to Build a Bear and the Lego store. The next day we went to the San Diego Zoo. It's so big with a lot of little hills which was a challenge with a stroller. We had a blast and got to see the new pandas and babies. We took a ferry to Balboa Island and rented a limo bike. We rode it a few miles back and forth on the board walk and after went to B.J.'s Pizza.

Kisses for mommy. I love my little friend.

Kids are out for the ride back to the apartment. Thanks for the fun trip Nicols. We had a blast!
